FAQ

  • Where are you located?
We are located at 109 Oakley Dr. Harrisburg NC 28075, We are in close proximity to Harrisburg Park and Harrisburg library, and convenient to highway 49. We also offer virtual visits. If you are a membership patient, Melanie does offer house calls. This is another great reason to join our low cost monthly membership.
  • Do you accept insurance?
That's the beauty of the direct primary care model. We do not file insurance for your office visits. There is no restriction on your medical care due to formularies for medication, in or out of network, or prior authorizations. You and your provider work together to do what is best and what is right for your healthcare without a third party saying otherwise. For our patients who do have health insurance, we do use your insurance for pricier items such as laboratory fees and imaging.
  • Am I able to use my HSA account for my fees?
Yes, you are able to enter your HSA account information into our medical system and use this account to pay for your visits and your memberships. It's just another way to use your insurance money wisely, if you have private insurance.
  • Should I have a personal medical insurance policy?
That is a personal decision. While you will not need medical insurance to be seen in our clinic, an insurance policy or medical sharing plan may help with any significant unplanned medical needs that require treatment by a specialist or hospital.
  • What services do you offer?
Crossroad's Women's Health offers a full range of primary care gynecologic and family planning services. We also offer health coaching, hormone replacement ( including bioidentical replacement), and weight management services. Please see our services page for more information.
  • Do you prescribe medication?
Yes. Many medical conditions require treatment with medication. However, we encourage lifestyle modification whenever possible.
  • What is the vaccination policy of Crossroads Health and Wellness?
We believe in full informed consent for all medical treatments and each patient should have the opportunity to choose the treatment that meets his/her individual needs. While we do not provide vaccines in our clinic, we can discuss potential risks and benefits of each vaccine and provide resources for patients who wish to obtain them. Vaccines are not required in order to receive care from our clinic.
  • Is membership right for me?
Even if you are healthy and without existing medical conditions, it’s great to have a healthcare provider you know and who knows you personally. In the unexpected event that you are sick, we can help you take care of most of your needs after hours, weekends, and even when you are out of town. This could save you a costly trip to the emergency room or urgent care. Even 1 or 2 of these visits can end up more costly than a yearly membership with our services.
  • What does the membership include?
Membership includes unlimited in-person and virtual visits. Our members also have a contact number that can be used to contact their provider for questions and immediate concerns. Urgent care visits can often be done the same day or next day. Members can also self schedule their appointments at times convenient to them. Membership fees do not include lab work and other referrals for services you may need, though we will help to coordinate that care for you. Membership fees also do not include individual or group health coaching . There will be an additional charge for these services.
  • If I am a member, how do I contact you?
We encourage you to reach out via text, email, video chat or call anytime you have any medical questions or need care. Our goal is to keep you healthy, out of urgent cares and emergency rooms!
  • What if I decide to cancel my membership?
We understand that life circumstances change. We do require a 6 month commitment upon joining the practice, but you can cancel at any time after 6 months. If you decide to join the practice again after canceling your membership, there will be a $250 sign-on fee. Cancelling a membership does require a 30 day advance notice, and patients will be responsible for fees incurred during this time.
  • What if I need medical attention when I am away from home?
No problem! Even when you are out of town, you can contact your provider's direct line or email whenever you need it. If you need a prescription called in, that's covered, too!
  • What if I need to see a specialist?
We will help to connect you with specialists in our geographic area for medical needs that are beyond our scope of care. In addition, we have connections with a wide array of specialists through our virtual network who can provide insight into your care.
  • What if I need labs or imaging?
If labs or imaging are required, we will send orders to a lab or imaging facility nearby and the results will be sent back to us for review.
  • What are the hours of operation?
Hours vary and, as a member, you will have the ability to see our availability and self-schedule at a time that is convenient for you.
